FC 25 Season Finale Gameplay Updates
As mentioned earlier, the update includes 3 major changes to gameplay:
- Increased Ground Pass Accuracy
- Changes to the Rush Out PlayStyle
- Increased Header Accuracy
These changes are based on the community’s feedback. But is the community happy with these new changes? Only time will tell.
Increased Ground Pass Accuracy
Players with high passing-related attributes will now have moderately increased accuracy for ground passes. Keep in mind this change doesn’t affect Driven Ground Passes. This change is to reduce the gap between players with high passing-related attributes and players with passing-related PlayStyles. The team wants both types of players to perform well.

In the above image, you can notice the change in the accuracy of ground passes. In the before image, the error on the receiver’s end is a lot more. After the update, you can see a significant reduction in the error, making ground passes more accurate. This change alone doesn’t heavily impact passing, because the impact of cleaner inputs, defensive pressure, etc., is still in play.
Note: Players and teams that are heavily dependent on passing will see a significant change in this update.
Changes to the Rush Out PlayStyle
This new update will reduce the effectiveness of the Rush Out PlayStyle. Goalkeepers with Rush Out will see a significant reduction in their acceleration. Goalkeepers with Rush Out+ will see a slight reduction in their acceleration. The PlayStyle+ version of Rush Out is highly nerfed compared to the normal PlayStyle; this change comes as a major nerf to goalkeepers.
Before the update, goalkeepers with Rush Out+ were highly effective at closing down on attackers and saving the ball. After the update, the goalkeepers will not be as effective at closing down the distance as before. EA even released a side-by-side comparison of the before and after video, but honestly, you won’t be able to see any difference. However, you might feel the nerf while playing the game.
Note: EA claims that the purpose of this change is to bring balance and create better one-on-one situations, but the community thinks otherwise. Goalkeepers are already in bad shape, especially when it comes to their PlayStyles. Most of the time, the PlayStyles don’t even work, and this change to the Rush Out PlayStyle will be considered a significant nerf to goalkeepers.

Increased Header Accuracy
In this update, you will notice a slight increase in accuracy when performing headers, making it a viable option to attack or score more goals.
Note: You will notice a huge difference in the before and after video, and this change is something a lot of players welcome. The problem with header inaccuracy was a real thing before the update; thanks to this change, you can now perform headers with better accuracy.
