Let’s get straight into it!

Updates to the Raid & Battle Systems in Pokémon GO

One of the first major updates in Pokémon GO as of October 10th is some updates to how Raids and Battle Systems work. These are earmarked as ‘improvements’ to stability, reduce latency, and will help make it easier for the dev team to add new features in future updates.

Some of these updates include changes to damage outputs, and energy generation, as well as changes to the duration of specific Pokémon attacks. This update applies only to Raids and Gym battles.

For now, we don’t have exact details on what these changes are and what ‘improvements’ players can expect from the new update, but considering that players have long-awaited Pokemon Go updates to the Gym battle system this is welcome news.

Hopefully, with the new Pokemon Go updates, we can expect a fresh and fun new take on how Raids and Gym battles work!
