Best Super Rare Brawler in Brawl Stars and Ranked

Best Super Rare Brawler in Brawl Stars

Brawl Stars is one of the more popular mobile games released by developer Supercell, which is already famous for its other wildly successful game, Clash of Clans. In Brawl Stars, you can unlock more powerful characters with advanced abilities, but you must carefully choose which characters to focus on, especially when you’re just starting out!

In this post, we’ll showcase the top brawlers available in the Super Rare category and highlight which brawlers are best for different situations, including the recently refreshed Ranked mode!

If you don’t want to think about choosing the right brawler to unlock, you should visit the U7BUY store and check out our Brawl Stars accounts for sale. Each account features a variety of unlocked brawlers, sky-high trophy counts, and plenty of cosmetic items so you can look your best in the brawl.

Who Are the Super Rare Brawlers in Brawl Stars?

As you probably know, every brawler in Brawl Stars has their own rarity level. Each level doesn’t have the most imaginative name, but the different rarities are Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Mythic, Legendary, and Ultra Legendary.

As of May 2025, there are currently 10 Super Rare brawlers in Brawl Stars (listed in alphabetical order, not in ranked order):

  1. 8-bit
  2. Carl
  3. Darryl
  4. Dynamike
  5. Gus
  6. Jackie
  7. Jessie
  8. Penny
  9. Rico
  10. Tick

While it’s possible to unlock brawlers using gems, a lot of players tend to rely on earning credits to unlock them instead. That means you probably want to know which of these characters are worth your investing time in first, and which can be unlocked later when you have more time and experience.

Who’s the Best Super Rare Brawler in Brawl Stars?

There’s no easy answer to this question, since the best choice depends on the map you’re playing, the game type, and your personal playstyle. That might seem like dodging the question, but it’s true! Every brawler has their own unique strengths and weaknesses.

A large part of the reason behind this is that Supercell has done a good job of balancing out individual brawlers against each other (in most cases, at least). This helps provide more balanced gameplay and prevents meta-based choices from dominating players’ desired in-game character choices. Overreliance on the current meta tends to limit the exploration of new strategies and techniques.

However, there are a few Super Rare brawlers who consistently stand above the rest on a wide variety of map types, so let’s take a closer look at them! Since it’s almost impossible to choose the best overall brawler, we’ll look at three of the best options for different playstyles.

Rico – The Best Super Rare Brawler For Tight Maps

Rico - The Best Super Rare Brawler For Tight Maps

Stats at Max Level

Health: 5600

Damage: 5 x 640

Super: Trick Shot

Movement Speed: Normal

Range: Very Long

Rico is a powerful brawler who shoots five bullets per attack, but each bullet can bounce off a wall to reach enemies hiding behind cover or even around map corners. His super fires 12 of these bullets, but they can pass through enemies and continue to deal damage.

The biggest downside to Rico is that he’s a bit of a glass cannon. He can deal a huge amount of damage quickly, but he has very low health, so he can get overwhelmed quickly.

Unfortunately, Rico can be a difficult brawler to learn. His ability to bounce bullets depends a lot on your personal skill level, so you may have to spend some time practicing before you really start to see the benefits of playing Rico.

Dynamike – The Best Super Rare Brawler for Dealing Damage

Stats at Max Level

Health: 5600

Damage: 2 x 1600

Super: Big Barrel O’ Boom

Movement Speed: Fast

Range: Long

Dynamike is quite a lot different from Rico, since he prioritizes massive damage over a wide area instead of precision shots. He technically falls into the game’s Artillery class rather than Damage Dealing, but Dynamike is no pushover.

However, he also suffers when positioned against close-up brawlers who can outmaneuver his dynamite blasts. Fortunately, his fast movement speed helps him avoid enemies who get too close!

Jessie – The Best Overall Super Rare Brawler

Jessie - The Best Overall Super Rare Brawler

Stats at Max Level

Health: 6000

Damage: 2120

Super: Scrappy!

Movement Speed: Normal

Range: Long

Jessie is an excellent all-around choice who excels in a variety of maps and situations, so she may be the best Super Rare brawler in Brawl Stars!

Her main attack, Shock Rifle, shoots three energy orbs that bounce up to three times, although it does less damage after each bounce. Her super attack deploys a stationary turret that actually has more health than Jessie does while laying down a barrage of rapid-fire projectiles. It’s like having a teammate with you even when you’re brawling solo!

Who’s the Best Super Rare Brawler for Ranked

If you’re a serious brawler, then you have probably already heard about Ranked mode. If you’re new to the game, let’s do a quick refresher course!

Brawl Stars used to call their ranked mode ‘Power Play,’ but this feature was removed while Supercell revamped the rules and other game mechanics to make it more popular with casual players. When it returned, it was just known as ‘Ranked’ mode instead of the fancy other name.

To qualify for Ranked mode, you have to meet a basic requirement: you need to have collected at least 1000 trophies, which proves that you’re experienced enough to handle a more competitive style of gameplay.

However, Ranked also has very different mechanics from standard unranked games. The game type and map are randomized, and

This means that it can be very difficult to choose the “best” brawler for Ranked mode, but your best choice is going with a good all-around brawler like Jessie, who is flexible across multiple map styles. Of course, most of the players in Ranked will be using higher-rarity characters, but Jessie will help you have fun and perform well until you unlock more powerful brawlers.

A Final Word About Choosing a Brawler

Supercell has done a pretty good job of balancing most of the Super Rare brawlers in Brawl Stars, so try not to focus too heavily on which brawler is the “best”. Because they’re well balanced, it’s possible for a skilled player to win easily using almost any of the brawlers listed above.
