Got some modded COD accounts for sale? Then you’re gonna be busy for a while longer. Call of Duty is getting another annual release with Black Ops 6 this time. It’s a good move to do as fans are getting tired from playing Modern Warfare back to back.
But what can we expect from this brand new entry to the Black Ops series? The games have always been convoluted in its timeline and the story it tries to tell. Not to mention the fact that not a lot of people know that there’s going to be some big changes to the Call of Duty formula that might shock players.
Release Date
One of the big questions people are going to be asking is when is Black Ops 6 coming out? And what platforms is the game available on? Well the game is scheduled to release on October 25, 2024. The game will be available for modern consoles and PC. That includes:
- PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4
- Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One
- PC
You can pre order the game now. How much you may ask? You can either grab the Standard Edition/Cross-Gen Bundle for $70 on all platforms. But if you’re looking for something extra then you can go for the Vault Edition. This edition comes with the following items:

This edition is slightly more pricier due to the content included, going for a whopping $100.
You can check out the Black Ops 6 trailer if you want to see what the game is going to be like before spending money on it.
Black Ops 6 Developers
The game is developed by none other than Treyarch. The same people who made the first Black Ops game and every single entry to the series since then. Activision made the right choice in entrusting this beloved series to the hands of the same developer who made it popular in the first place.
Black Ops 6 Setting
A lot of speculation were thrown around regarding what the setting of the game would be. Prior to the reveal, there were leaks flowing around that were leading to the Gulf War being the setting of Black Ops 6. The leaks turned out to be right as Activision officially confirmed that Black Ops 6 will cover the dissolution of Soviet Union and the Gulf War.
This is essentially covering most of the 90’s during the time. You’ll see a lot of political figures that were prominent in the 90’s when you look at the reveal trailer for Black Ops 6.
Is Black Ops 6 a Sequel or Prequel?
The COD Black Ops series is a little confusing to keep track of since the games range from fighting in the Cold War to future warfare. But the answer to this confusing question is that the game will take place between Black Ops Cold War and the late 80’s sections of Black Ops 2.
That doesn’t mean COD Black Ops 2 will be revisited. It is possible that Black Ops 6 will mention certain events that happened in the 80’s sections of Black Ops 2.
Black Ops 6 Introduces New Omnimovement System
Ever got tired of the same old movement system of the Call of Duty franchise? Then we got some good news for you. The Omnimovement system is essentially the ability to do any movement in any direction. You can now sprint backwards if you want to. You’re also able to slide to the left or dive to the right to avoid gunfire.
Call of Duty fans will agree that the movement of the games are more or less the same. Some games try to add things that make them special like parkour mechanics in Black Ops 3 and a more realistic movement in the Modern Warfare reboot. With the addition of the new Omnimovement this might add a breath of fresh air to the admittedly stagnant movement of Call of Duty.
It is unknown however if Omnimovement will be available in Warzone.
Zombies Returns
A Black Ops staple to the serries is Zombies. Fans of the franchise all love and adore the Zombies game mode for being fun to play with friends in both offline and online. The game mode will launch with two maps initially called Liberty Falls and Terminus.
A neat little change is that you are able to play as operators you own in Zombies. You can only previously play as 4 different characters for Zombies but this change allows players to play with their favorite operators.
Melee Weapons Have Their Own Dedicated Slots
Call of Duty games have famously only had two slots for weapons. You could only pick out two weapons from your arsenal and bring them with you in the game. Melee weapons also took up a slot and that meant you only had one firearm and one melee weapon. Black Ops 6 is going to change that by making melee weapons its own slot.
You are now able to bring in two firearms and one melee weapon you can use. Perfect as a last resort for those that run out of ammo in the game.
