One of the first things you need to look over and decide in Dark and Darker is which class you will spend your time in. Each Dark and Darker class has its own perks and quirks, but which are the ones that will give you the best advantage on average?

There are a total of six Dark and Darker classes with each having their own powers and disadvantages. While this list will be ranking the Dark and Darker classes based off of which have a higher potential on average, that doesn’t make any weaker classes bad as many players still manage to become extremely powerful and great at the game with each class all the time. Just look at the facts and pick the one that interests you the most! You may even enjoy the challenge of the “weaker” classes.

Barbarian – C Tier

Barbarians are all about being able to pack a mighty punch in melee combat. The downside to this though is that they are by far the slowest class movement and attack-wise. This can make them very hard to control and master unless you are already used to this tankier playstyle in other games.

This class is usually always outpaced by the other Dark and Darker classes, so keep that in mind whenever you play with other people. However, if you do choose to dedicate yourself to the Barbarian class, you will soon level up enough to earn some more perk space to help make up for your lost speed while gaining even more power on the battlefield.

Rogue – B Tier

Dark and Darker Rogues are a popular class to pick for lots of people, but they can be very challenging to play as and master. Their learning curve is very large as they require a very specific type of play style. The whole point of the Rogue is to be able to have fast and sneaky movements but at the cost of a shorter amount of maximum health and defense.

With the Dark and Darker Rogue’s lower defense and health, this makes them have to rely on remaining as sneaky and quick as possible whether by constantly backstabbing other players or by dodging at the perfect moments. One slip-up could be all it takes for you to perish. However, Rogues are still incredibly fun to play and make for amazing looters too. They definitely call for a specific type of player though.

Cleric – B Tier

The Cleric is great as a Dark and Darker support class rather than a fighter. They are incredibly weak for fighting even when defending themselves but are fantastic at supporting your allies by healing or distributing buffs. Even if they get in combat, they are still able to use shields to help keep themselves alive for longer and deal some extra damage Dark and Darker points to support their party.

Whenever you plan to play at a party, it is always good to have at least one Cleric with you. Even though the Cleric’s playstyle may not be everyone’s favorite, they are still incredibly necessary to have with you. That being said, don’t be afraid to dip your toes into this Dark and Darker class from time to time to give it a shot.

Wizard – A Tier

Wizards are extremely powerful and fun to play but can take a while to learn. There are lots you can do with a long list of spells to cast, but that is what can make them complicated fast. You can not only attack with these spells but also add buffs to your party and status effects onto enemies.

Despite how many Dark and Darker spells you can cast and the unlimited potential a player has with their playstyle, the biggest mistake players make is not knowing when to cast a specific spell. That is what makes the Dark and Darker Wizard so difficult to learn as it requires a great knowledge of timing and what each spell you cast is capable of from start to finish.

Fighter – S Tier

As the name suggests, the Fighter is all about physical damage and doing as much of it as possible. Playing as a Fighter is highly recommended for most beginners to Dark and Darker because they are relatively well-rounded and can lead to lots of interesting and creative late-game builds.

Fighters are not to be underestimated one bit. From the look of them alone, they may seem like a boring or basic class at first but can become almost unstoppable when enough care is put into them. They can even wear full heavy armor like it’s nothing! A master Dark and Darker Fighter player will prove any understatement wrong in seconds.

Ranger – S Tier

Finally, there is the powerful Ranger class. This Dark and Darker class is all about having mastered ranged weapons such as different types of bows and arrows. Being able to attack from a long-range away is practically a godsend. This is because all of the other Dark and Darker classes mainly rely on close-ranged melee attacks. Even Dark and Darker classes like the Wizard cannot cast spells as far as an arrow can reach them!

Unless you as a Ranger fight another Ranger player, you will almost always have the greatest advantage with your attacks as you will have dealt the most damage before your enemies have even reached you. The Ranger is also known to have lots of great perks to select that make it even more powerful than the rest. There are lots of fun and creative builds to be made here.
