New PlayStyle and PlayStyle Changes
Low-Driven Shot is the new PlayStyle and PlayStyle+. The FC 25 community always wanted more PS options when it came to shooting, and the team has listened to our feedback. Low-Driven Shot comes under the scoring PlayStyles, and players with this PS will have enhanced ability to perform low-driven shots with better accuracy, faster ball travel, and faster shot execution.
The purpose of this new PS is to let players perform precise shots with more consistency with a short input press. The PlayStyle+ of Low-Driven Shot has the same effects as the PlayStyle; it’s simply a more effective version.
You will now notice a moderate reduction in accuracy for fully powered Precision Lob Passes and a significant increase in accuracy for Clearance Headers. These changes are based on community feedback, particularly regarding clearance headers, giving players more reliable options to clear crosses, corners, and aerial threats.

New Heroes and Icons
One of the most notable and iconic FUT trios is back in FC 25. Yes, I am talking about Seydou Doumbia, Victor Ibarbo, and Gervinho! These FIFA 15 legends were known for their pace, dribbling, and overpowered gameplay, making them fan favorites in FUT. Now, after a decade, the legendary Roma Trio is back as a part of the FUT Birthday special, marking an iconic return!
The new ICON I mentioned earlier is none other than Franz Beckenbauer! For the first time in FUT history, Beckenbauer will be featured as an ICON. His achievements speak for themselves—two Ballon d’Ors, a World Cup, and three consecutive European Cups prove his dominance in the world of football. Beckenbauer’s base ICON version will be available in FUT packs starting March 21 as part of the UEFA Dreamchasers campaign.
Career Mode Changes
These new changes to the Career Mode are primarily UI-based, and it does not change the way you play the game. The team made changes to the UI to show Upcoming Fixtures and current Standings and made changes to Task List text for easier viewing.
The new PlayStyle has been added to the Career Mode. It is unlocked both in the Manager and Player Career. With the addition of Beckenbauer, the ICON selection in player career will also be updated to include him.
New Super Sub Player Items
The team will be introducing new Super Sub Player items in the upcoming days. When these players are subbed into the matches in their primary or alt pos during the second half, they will have full chemistry and their role+ will be increased to role++.

New FUT Friendlies and New Facilities
Inspired by the new Low-Driven PlayStyle, we have a new exciting Live UT Friendly match type called Targets. Here is how it works:
Targets will appear in each corner of the net for both teams. Hitting a target will permanently destroy it and award 2 goals. You can score up to 4 additional goals by hitting all 4 targets throughout the match. This match type encourages players to try out the new Low-Driven Shot PlayStyle and get comfortable using it.
Low-Driven Drill and Strength Drill are two new facilities in the game. As the name suggests, the Low-Driven Drill is once again aimed at the new Low-Driven Shot PlayStyle, and the Strength Drill is for the Block PlayStyle+.

The key highlight of this entire update is the new PlayStyle—it offers more consistent ways to execute low-driven shots. If this scoring PlayStyle becomes the meta, we can expect more players to use it. Changes to the Precision Lob Pass and Clearance Headers will also affect the gameplay—primarily to our aerial passes and how we defend.
Another major change in gameplay can be expected with the release of new Super Sub Player items. Every other change in Career and Ultimate Team will simply make the game feel fresh, but not majorly change the way we play this game.
