EA FC 26: Every Returning Icon Announced

Every new feature or player improvement always brings a wave of excitement to fans, but it’s nothing compared to the newly released icons announced. In the previous EA franchise, most iconic players were left out and never recognized, but EA FC 26 seems to be doing things out of the ordinary, by bringing our wishlist and dream squad in digital form.

From our previous article, we unveiled 12 icons that were released in August 2025, and the most iconic players were listed out. On the other hand, a new wave of additional players has been included and probably you just might find your own dream icons here. Each icon on this list has their own unique style whether you’re looking for skillful playmakers, bruiser playstyle, quick steppers, finesse shooters, and unstoppable goal-scorers.

11. Hugo Sanchez

Hugo Sanchez is a player who displays quality attributes on the pitch, he is a Mexican player that stands out with his knuckle shot, volley, and powerful heading ability. Whenever Hugo Sanchez has the ball he most times gives his opponent goosebumps as to whether he will outrun them or take a superb outside shot that probably will lead to a goal.

10. Gianluca Zambrotta

Gianluca Zambrotta is an effective defender that makes the defensive line firm and impenetrable. He played for several clubs, but was well recognized in Barcelona FC and AC Milan where he performed very well in the defense and all thanks to his accurate slide tackles he was able to win several balls from the opponent.

His physicality and defensive stats are excellent, but his pace is just extraordinary, probably this might just be his uniqueness on the pitch. His passes are accurate alongside his crosses, from previous gameplay he’s a player who can deliver crosses that go directly to his teammates for goal-scoring chances.

However, in FC 26 having a pace of 87% gives him the capability of outrunning players after an accurate slide tackle has been made.

9. Zinédine Zidane

The unstoppable France Center Attacking Midfielder Zinédine Zidane, he’s a player with so much composure and positioning. Zidane’s gameplay in the midfield gives balance on the pitch, however since he plays the CAM position he can give the upper hand to strikers while dominating the midfield, his shooting power is impressive and accurate, which gives him the advantage of shooting the ball from a long range. While his dribbling just keeps getting better, from his step overs, and 360 turns giving him the advantage of getting past defenders easily.

However, in FC 26 Zidane will be the right fit for your squad’s lineup and will boost the team’s confidence.

8. Luís Figo

Luís Figo is a unique dribbler who bypasses defenders with tricky skills, his overall ratings are excellently perfect for someone who plays the Right Winger position. Figo’s dribbling technique is tremendous, when combined with his pace, he just becomes that unstoppable Right Winger that can get past any defensive line effortlessly. His usual fake shot humiliates most defenders, giving him the option either to pass or keep dribbling. He uses this skill to deceive defenders and outrun them easily.

In FC 26, Figo’s defensive strength is so bad that he shouldn’t be involved near the defensive line, but his passing techniques are good enough to keep him on the offensive track instead of defense.

7. David Beckham

Next up is David Beckham, a legendary England footballer who played for several clubs and has made valuable contributions to the history of football. His 88 rating makes him look less effective as a Right Midfielder, probably because we were expecting too much from this player and EA. However he has more potential than his overall rating, his passing techniques are superb and unpredictable to some defenders.

His long shots and crosses are so tremendous that most times we may think he is giving a cross but instead he shoots a long shot from outside the box. In FC 26, David Beckham will definitely be the player who would fit your play styles if you like taking outside shot risk.

6. Steven Gerrard

Another England footballer on the list Steven Gerrard, a legend among legends, has made a big name and impact in the history of football. Gerrard started his career as a right-back player right from his football academy but as he kept on progressing he found a position that suits his abilities on the pitch as a Center Midfielder. His physicality is very impressive, defensively he is capable of making accurate slide tackles that always lead to a quick counter.

In FC 26, Gerrard’s passing techniques are excellent from his long crosses to his unaware short passes that take the defenders off guard, and finally his shooting power, which gives him the option of either shooting inside or outside the box.

5. Roberto Carlos

The Brazilian legend has now been listed amongst the returning icons isn’t that amazing? Carlos’ ratings reflect his performance in the digital world and in the real world, his energy on the pitch is great especially from the left side of the pitch. His pace is excellent, this gives him the ability to outrun opponents effortlessly.

In FC 26, his stats are; pace 91, shooting 83, passing 83, dribbling 80, defense 85, and Physicality 86. However, Roberto Carlos will definitely be a good fit in the defensive strength.

4. Ferenc Puskás

Ferenc Puskás remains one of football’s most iconic figures in the history of football, his return is a gift to fans who want to experience striking power. Puskás is a left-footed player, his shots, dribbling, pace, and passing are his key attributes on the pitch although he has low physicality which consists of “stamina and balance” which are unfavorable in various matches.

In FC 26, Puskás can probably be a super sub during the ending period of the match, if you’re looking forward to winning or equalizing.

However, in FC 26, Bale is a good right Winger who can dominate and maneuver through any defensive line with ease.

The all-time Brazilian player Nazario Ronaldo is an unstoppable force at his peak, he’s a player who keeps his opponent under pressure whenever he’s with the ball. Ronaldo’s performance on the pitch is unmatched by any striker out there, his stats are tremendous from his pace, dribbling skills, and shooting power he becomes the key player on the pitch.

While in FC 26, Ronaldo’s stats are; pace 94, shooting 94, passing 79, dribbling 94, defense 43, and physicality 75. He’s just the perfect striker for any squad building.
