Understanding Citlali: Genshin Impact
Citlali, as mentioned before, is a 5-star cryo character from the Natlan region. She is a catalyst user, and her weapon is called the “Starcaller’s Watch.”
It is also revealed that Citlali works incredibly well with melt and freeze teams, which means hydro and pyro characters. The second 5-star character getting released in 5.3 is Mavuika, a Pyro character. So, it’s a given that Citlali and Mavuika will work great together.

Genshin Impact: How to farm Citlali’s Ascension and Talent Materials
Instead of providing the location of each and every item, I will guide you on how to farm any material or item of your choice in Genshin Impact.
For this, we will take the help of the Genshin Impact wiki and the Genshin Impact interactive map by HoYoLAB.
Let’s take the material Seasoned Fang, for example. We need a total of 96 Seasoned Fangs to completely ascend Citlali and all three of her skills. To farm this material, follow these steps:
Go to the Genshin Impact wiki, search for “Seasoned Fang,” and select the item. Now click on “How to Obtain” under contents.
Here, you will find all the available ways to obtain this item; 10 common enemies that are a part of the Natlan Saurians drop this material, or you can also craft it if you have a Juvenile Fang.
Now, we know that Seasoned Fang can be dropped by Natlan Saurians; here is how to locate them:
Go to the Genshin Impact Interactive map, search for “Natlan Saurians,” and select it.
As shown in the image, you can now locate all the Natlan Saurians directly on the map; you can even zoom in to get the exact, precise location.
Now try this on Quenepa Berry as an example; you can pin multiple materials on the map at the same time.
Follow the same steps for the remaining materials and you’re golden! Few of these materials require you to defeat bosses and a few can be obtained only on specific days—all of this information can be found on the wiki.

Citlali, along with Mavuika and a lot of other big updates, will be released on January 1st, 2025. If you want to stay ahead of other players, you can start pre-farming the ascension materials now.
Talisman of the Enigmatic Land is the only material that cannot be pre-farmed, as it will be released in version 5.3.
