With Genshin Impact’s 5.4 Update, Travelers get to travel back to Inazuma, the Electro nation, to celebrate the Mikawa Flower Festival. This update holds an event called Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival, which rewards players with an exclusive Polearm weapon called Tamayuratei no Ohanashi. This event is a successor to the Akitsu Kimodameshi event from the 3.3 Update, which rewarded players with the Toukabou Shigure sword.
Getting your hands on the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi will require certain items which you need to gather first. You can explore around to gather them or use Genshin Genesis Crystals to get an easier hold on them – whichever suits you better. In this guide, we will discuss the weapon, its stats, and the best characters you can pair it up with.

Best Characters to Use
You will be wise to use on-field DPS or sub-DPS characters, who require high ATK and Energy Boost, and use their Elemental Skills, as this polearm weapon provides a massive 40% ATK Boost in its 5th Refinement Level, and its secondary stats provide constant Energy Boost. Here are a few characters that might pair up well with the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.
Xiao

Xiao is a very energy-hungry DPS. He teams usually include one or two Anemo characters to recharge his high-cost Elemental Burst, which he then uses to deal massive plunge attack damage. Since his Elemental Skill is his main source of Energy, the 40% ATK Boost after his skill comes in really handy. Also, since most of Xiao’s damage comes from his Burst, the 30.6% Energy Recharge substat is really helpful for his Burst. However, since using Anemo characters alongside Xiao reduces his overall Energy requirement, the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi is not the most useful.
Xiangling

As a powerful Pyro DPS character, Xiangling relies heavily on her Elemental Burst Pyronado. She uses it to deal most of her damage, the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi allows her to massively boost her ATK before using Pyronado. Also, since her ELemental Burst is used quite frequently, a lot of energy is required. Even with strong batteries like Bennet, it becomes quite difficult for players to manage her Energy. The passive Energy Boost greatly helps in this case.
Shenhe

Usually, players prefer to use the 4-Star weapon Favonius Lance for Shenhe. But players need to invest some Crit Rate to activate its passive. If you don’t have Crit Rate artifacts, the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi becomes a great option. Also with the high base ATK, the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi might also outperform the Favonius Lance in terms of just ATK contribution.
Emilie

Emilie is a 5-Star Dendro sub-DPS, and focuses on the Burning reaction. She does not require much Energy to fight, but the Tamayuratei no Ohanashi’s ATK Boost may come in handy at times, and enhances her overall DMG.
Conclusion
The Tamayuratei no Ohanashi is a strong polearm for ATK and Energy Recharge-focused characters. It shines with Xiao, Xiangling, Shenhe, and Emilie, making it a versatile event-exclusive weapon choice.
