PUBG Mobile is no stranger to whacky events and themed modes, and the latest Version 3.4 update is no different. This time around we’re diving headfirst into the medieval gothic era with vampires and werewolves, and resident vampire baddie, Dracula.
The PUBG Mobile new version has been out for a while now but some returning players may have missed the original announcement and release and might be lost on everything new in PUBG Mobile Version 3.4 so worry not, here’s everything you need to know about the new update!

When Does PUBG Mobile Version 3.4 End?
PUBG Mobile Version 3.4 was originally released on September 10th, 2024, and will be available until November 10th, 2024. There’s still plenty of time to get stuck into the medieval fantasy setting of the new PUBG update so it’s best to jump in now to play through the new content!
The New Themed Mode: Bloodmoon Awakening
The most highly anticipated new content with the Version 3.4 update is the new themed mode, Bloodmoon Awakening. This has players diving back into the battlegrounds to take on the dreaded Blood Moon Curse.
In reality, this means new enemies to face, transformations, in-game PUBG Mobile items, and vehicles. Let’s briefly go over each to get a better idea of what returning players can expect with the PUBG update:
Two New Transformations – Wolf Warrior & Vampiric Fiend
The biggest new addition with the new update is the two new transformations which let you finally live out your Twilight fantasies by turning you into a Werewolf or a Vampire. With the new two themed-mode exclusive PUBG Mobile items, Wolf Salve and Blood Oath Extract, you can transform into mythical beings to devastate the battlegrounds.
Players can transform into the Wolf Warrior by using the Wolf Salve PUBG Mobile item you’ll find on the PUBG map. Transforming into a Wolf Warrior grants players a few abilities including:
- The ability to sprint on all fours with upgraded agility and acceleration over time.
- Climb walls, double jump, and wall jumping capabilities.
- A new ‘Howl’ ability that grants the player and nearby allies increased speed and damage reduction buffs.
Players can transform into the Vampiric Fiend by using the Blood Oath PUBG Mobile item available across the map. Transforming into the Vampiric Fiend grants players these abilities:
- Vampire wings to fly over short distances while maneuvering with speed.
- A devastating aerial drop attack that deals damage and knocks enemies back. Can be activated after reaching a certain altitude and will end the transformation once performed.
- A fireable Crimson Gas energy bomb. Enemies caught in the Crimson Gas cannot heal.
- Eliminated enemies drop ‘Blood Orbs’ which can be used to heal the Vampiric Fiend.
New Map Areas to Discover – Crimson Castle & Wolf Settlement
Besides the two new transformations, players can also venture to the PUBG new map areas, the Crimson Castle and Wolf Settlement.
Crimson Castle –
A menacing & enigmatic castle that hosts a variety of rewards & supplies to find. The Crimson Castle has its own day & night cycle and can at times spawn Blood Moons at night.
You’ll also find coffins in the Crimson Castle which allows you to spring ambush attacks by hiding within. Deep within the castle, you’ll find the Altar Room which houses a ritual crate that drops a smorgasbord of supplies and loot. You’ll also need to access it to activate the Vampire Throne to revive teammates.
Wolf Settlement –
The Wolf Settlements are multiple werewolf-themed areas strewn across the PUBG Mobile map. Here you’ll find plenty of supplies and an area that also follows a day-and-night cycle. As night dawns in the Wolf Settlement, you can find Wolf Spirits which need guidance to nearby statues to get more supplies.
Guiding all the Wolf Spirits will summon the Wolf King at the Spirit Tree which provides the ancestral treasure. You’ll also find premium crates that have rare PUBG Mobile supplies, including the Crimson Crystal.
A New Menacing Boss; Dracula
Dracula is the new mode’s boss fight which has players battling the Prince of Darkness himself. To activate the encounter, players need to find a Crimson Crystal which can activate the Crimson Rift to start the fight.
He has a devastating move set consisting of agile melee attacks and a move to drain your health. Once defeated, he’ll start his second phase by becoming frenzied after consuming the power of Crimson which grants him full health, a shield, and AoE ranged attacks.
Dracula is a two-phase boss so he can be tricky to handle. Make sure to bring enough ammo and healing supplies before engaging. You can find ammo around the Dracula area but you cannot use the Wolf Warrior and Vampiric Fiend transformations during the encounter.
Defeating Dracula grants players high-end crate rewards for winning the hard-fought battle.
New Gameplay Mechanics
There are also two new gameplay mechanics to try in the new Bloodmoon Awakening-themed mode:
- Blood Clan Treasure Clash: Teams will be divided into groups and assigned a Blood Clan Chest on the PUBG Mobile map. Interacting with the Blood Clan Chest will start a timer. Survive the onslaught from other groups to avail the rewards of the chest.
- Treasure Spectre: Finding Gargoyle Troves will reveal locations nearby to find the Treasure Spectre chest. Not all chests are Treasure Spectres, but if found, you have a limited time to defeat the Treasure Spectre to gain rewards.
The New ‘Horse’ Vehicle
We also have a new vehicle, the ‘Horse’ which is well, a horse. It’s a two-seater vehicle and can evade small obstacles, jump, swim, and it can move on its own. Players can also fire from the horse while mounted.
