When is the Fortnitemares Update Going Live?

The confirmed date for the Fortnitemares release this year is October 11th, 2024. We don’t have any official details regarding the timing of the Fortnite update, but based on past update schedules, we can expect it to go live at 4 AM ET for all regions on October 11th.

Fortnitemares Skins 2024

One of the most interesting things about the Fortnitemares seasons is the plentiful amount of new Fortnite skins introduced to the game from collabs and specialized themed versions of Fortnite characters. Here’s a look at the Fortnite skins we’ve seen so far –

Sally & Pumpkin King

Sally & the Pumpkin King from the Nightmare Before Christmas franchise are making their appearance in both Fortnite & Lego Fortnite with the Fortnitemares update.

While I personally believe the Nightmare Before Christmas is more akin to a Christmas movie (fight me 1v1), these Fortnite skins are still a welcome addition since we already have the Jack Skellington skin from a previous collab.

Mephisto, Leatherface, & Lexa Hexbringer

In the Fortnitemares teaser trailer, we also got a glimpse at a few more Fortnite skins to expect with the new Fortnite update including Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, Marvel’s Mephisto, and Lexa Hexbringer, a Halloween-themed skin of the fan-favorite Epic Lexa skin.

Of the entire skins list we’ve seen, Lexa Hexbringer looks to be a prime contender to make it to our hot Fortnite characters list!

Pumpkin Knight

Besides the collab Fortnite skins, we’ve also caught a glimpse of some Fortnite exclusive character skins like the Pumpkin Knight. We’re not too sure about the details or even the name, but based on the teaser image he’s got a sick aesthetic and possibly our favorite look of the new Fortnitemares skins we’ve seen thus far.

Marshmello

We also caught a glimpse of a new spooky Marshmello skin with a purple-hued helmet and glow. Not too many details are known about this Fortnite skin just yet but based on how popular the OG Marshmello skin has been in the game, we’re confident it’ll be popular too.

Billy the Puppet

Of the unveiled spooky-season Fortnite skins, we’ve already seen Billy the Puppet officially released in the Item Shop for players to purchase. The set includes the Fortnite Billy the Puppet outfit, Billy’s Tricycle emote, the Trap Television Back Bling, Puppet’s Choice wrap, and the Spiralized Splicer pickaxe.

Andy Fangerson

On the Brick or Treat Lego Pass which was unveiled earlier than the new Fortnitemares update, we caught a glimpse of Andy Fangerson, a new Fortnite exclusive character. The good news is the Outfit will be available in both Lego Fortnite and the Fortnite Battle Royale mode though we haven’t seen the full extent of this outfit just yet.

We can expect to see the full outfit when the Fortnitemares update goes live later today.

These are just a few of the Fortnite skins we’ve seen in the early teaser content and there are plenty of more rewards, outfits, and cosmetics to earn throughout the event. In particular, we’ve also seen a hooded scarecrow-looking dude and a purple-hued knight that we don’t have many details on as yet.

Fortnitemares Leaks & Expected Content

At the time of writing, we only have confirmed details about the latest Fortnite skins and collabs coming to the game with the Fortnitemares update. But according to the latest leaks, we also have a few more things to expect with the update.

But considering these are Fortnite leaks, take this information with a grain of salt since after the release we can see drastically different implementations of what we’ve mentioned. That said, here are the most notable leaks we’ve heard about the Fortnitemares update so far:

Return of the Horde Rush Mode LTM

Last year’s incredibly popular Horde Rush LTM is expected to make a return with Fortnitemares 2024 so players can expect to dive back into the fight against hordes of monsters. We also expect to see new Mythic items from this season to make an appearance in the Fortnite mode.

New Halloween-Themed POI Map Updates

On the Fortnite map, we’re expecting to see 6 major landmarks and Fortnite map changes with updates to Brawler’s Battlegrounds, Restored Reels, and Grand Glacier themed to match the Halloween season.

New Mythics & Halloween-Themed Items

Lastly, we’re expecting to see new Mythic and Hallowee-themed items and Fortnite weapons with the Fortnitemares update. So far, we’ve heard tales of a confirmed SAW-themed Mythic called ‘Boom Billy’ which spawns an explosive tricycle, the Witch Broom, Pumpkin Launcher, Wood Stake Shotgun which we’ve seen in the latest teasers, and more. And that’s pretty much everything we know about the upcoming Fortnitemares update. By the time you read this, the update is probably already live so get to grinding folks! But if you need a V Bucks card to get everything the Fortnite new update has to offer, U7BUY has got your back!
