Forza Horizon 5 features an impressive selection of races in its beautiful open world. Many players choose drag racing as an exciting, high-adrenaline way to play quickly, but drag racing has special requirements that differ from other races.
In this post, we’ll highlight 12 of the top drag racing cars available in Forza Horizon 5, compare their key stats, and tell you how much they cost if you want to spend some credits.
If you don’t want to unlock specific cars, you can stop by the U7BUY store to choose one of our FH5 accounts for sale. These accounts come with plenty of rare cars already unlocked, so you can blast your way to victory on the drag strip or any other race in the game!

Choosing a Car for Drag Racing
Remember that drag racing has a very different setup than most other races in Forza Horizon 5. Drag racing strips are extremely short, not usually longer than a quarter or half a mile. They are always perfectly straight, and they never have any curves.
This unique setup means that your car’s acceleration and launch stats are crucial for drag racing. You don’t want a car with a low speed stat, but it’s not as important as the other two. If your car has a high top speed but a low launch stat, it may not be a good choice for drag racing, even if it’s a winning choice for other racing setups.
There are quite a few cars in FH5 with a perfect 10 score in both Launch and Acceleration stats, so the final choice often comes down to the Speed stat and how many credits each car will cost you.
The Top 12 Drag Racing Cars (and How Much They Cost)
Since Forza Horizon 5 has been out for a while now, this car list includes selections from all the currently available DLC packs. These cars are not listed in any ranked order, because you should be able to dominate the drag strip with any of these machines — as long as you can afford it!
Other sites have put together their own lists of the top drag racing cars in FH5, but they start talking about handling halfway through. Once again: drag races are perfectly straight, so handling doesn’t matter!
2011 BMW X5 M Forza Edition
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 8.0
Cost: 500,000 credits
This isn’t the fastest car overall, but it’s a fan favorite for almost every Forza race type there is. It’s the perfect drag racer with its perfect 10s in both Launch and Acceleration, and it’s one of the more affordable options at just 500,000 credits. The only version worth grabbing for drag races is the Forza Edition, which requires VIP Membership.
2011 Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Forza Edition
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 8.4
Cost: 2,750,000 credits
This is one of the most expensive drag racers on this list, since this Lambo excels at just about everything a car can do in FH5. You’ll get a higher top speed out of this beauty thanks to its 8.4 speed stat, but that may not matter much on shorter drag strips. If you’re tight on credits, you may want to look at the Porsche 918 Spyder below for a faster and more affordable option.
2019 Aston Martin Valhalla Concept Car
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 8.5
Cost: 1,150,000 credits
Concept cars always look spectacular, and this Aston Martin is no exception – if you can get a glimpse of it before it disappears down the track. With a Speed stat of 8.5, it’s one of the fastest 10/10 cars out there, but it will cost you dearly.
2014 Porsche 918 Spyder
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 8.8
Cost: 850,000 credits
Finally, we come to a hidden gem: the Porsche Spyder still scores 10s on Launch and Acceleration, but it also has the highest speed stat of all the 10/10 cars on this list. Considering it’s priced well below the last two entries, this is the perfect deal if you want to spend some credits and get a great drag racer at a great value.
2019 Rimac Concept Two
Launch: 9.9
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 9.1
Cost: 2,000,000
This is the first car on the list that doesn’t score a perfect 10/10 in Launch and Acceleration stats, but it makes up for its 9.9 Launch stat by topping the Speed rankings with 9.1. This is an all-wheel-drive electric beast, which explains how it manages to rank so highly across the most important stats for drag racing.
2022 Ford Supervan 4
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 7.9
Cost: 2,000,000
Don’t laugh! You’d probably never pick a van for a drag race, but the stats don’t lie: this electric beast will dominate a short drag strip. Electric powertrains really kick, but don’t choose it for a longer track due to its lower Speed stat.
2013 Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 10
Speed: 7.6
Cost: 300,000
This stock Camaro doesn’t have a great top speed, but it’s one of the most affordable 10/10 cars, so it’s a great choice if you’re low on credits.
2020 Ferrari SF90 Stradale
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.8
Speed: 8.8
Cost: 750,000
It doesn’t have a perfect score, but the SF90 Stradale is an affordable balance of stats that will help you dominate any drag strip.
2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.8
Speed: 7.6
Cost: 275,000
Nobody would expect a Lamborghini to be on the low-budget end of any list, but the Huracan is a surprisingly affordable way to leave your opponents in the dust.
2024 Lamborghini Revuelto
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.9
Speed: 8.6
Cost: 250,000
Another impressively affordable Lambo, the Revuelto is a hybrid supercar that’s just begging to let fly on the strip.
2020 Automobili Pininfarina Battista
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.9
Speed: 7.8
Cost: 2,500,000
With four separate motors, it’s hard to imagine a faster electric car that still looks like it belongs in an Italian showroom – but you’ll pay dearly to own a car this futuristic.
2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S (Welcome Pack Edition)
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.7
Speed: 10
Cost: 185,000
This car might be the best balance of stats on the whole list, especially when you consider that unbelievably low price. You’ll need the Welcome Pack DLC to unlock it, but it’s worth it to grab the cheapest drag racer in FH5.
2010 Jaguar C-X75
Launch: 10
Acceleration: 9.4
Speed: 8.1
Cost: 1,500,000
The last car on this list is no slouch, still maintaining a perfect 10 in the Launch category and a respectable 9.4 in Acceleration and 8.1 in Speed. It’s a significantly higher price to round out the list, but sometimes you just need to have a Jaguar.
That’s a long list of impressive drag racers, but their prices are the only thing higher than their Launch stats. If you want to grab one of these beauties for a decent price, buy Forza Horizon 5 credits from the U7BUY marketplace and get better value for your dollar. Why spend more on your FH5 cars than you have to?
