Let’s get straight into it!

When Does the Aegir Raid Go Live?

With the majority of this month’s content released with the Arkesia Ignited update on October 9th earlier this month, the upcoming Aegir raid content is expected to be a smaller update including the raid and a few other select content.

For now, the dev team has announced that the colossal threat Aegir raid will be available in the game on October 23rd, 2024.

At the time of writing, the new raid drop isn’t too far off so it’s a good idea to be prepared by leveling up your Item Levels and gathering powerful Hyper Awakenings and skills beforehand.

What We Know About the Aegir Raid

Firstly, the new raid is set to be a 2-gate Kazeros Raid with two different encounters to take on. At the first Gate, players will be met with a return of Akkan who you’ll need to defeat before proceeding to the next stage.

At the second Gate is where you’ll face off against Aegir the Colossus in a battle of epic proportions. And for your information, the new Aegir Raid will be an 8-player raid so it’s a good idea to round up some buddies before taking on the Colossal foe.

To start the Raid though, there are a few prerequisites you have to meet. In particular, you will need to access Chapter 1: Earth-Shattering Hellfire. This requires players to have at least Item Level 1660 for the Normal Mode.

But if you fancy a bit of a challenge, you’ll need at least Item Level 1680 to face off against Aegir in the new raid on Hard Mode.

What Else is Coming with the Aegir Raid Update?

Besides the new raid content, there are a few tidbits of content players have been eagerly anticipating when the update goes live in the coming week. One thing we know for sure is we’re getting new cosmetic items to beautify our dastardly characters.

Well, it depends on your preference of playstyle, of course.

Aside from the new cosmetics (which we don’t know what they exactly are), the ‘transfer window’ will also go live with the raid content update. This should help veteran players who want to reinforce their characters to take on the new fight.

For now, though, that’s pretty much everything we know about the new Aegir Raid update that’s coming up pretty soon. We’ll get more details when the release notes and the update goes live on October 23rd at which point we’ll check out any new content that’s sneaked in with the update.

How to Prepare for the New Aegir Raid

With the release of the Arkesia Ignited update, the dev team has provided an abundance of resources and methods to quickly get your characters up to speed with the new end-game content in terms of levels, skills, and gear.

In particular, the new Arkesia Ignited update introduced ‘Ignite Servers’, with each region having one Ignite Server where players can quickly and easily level up their gear, skills, and knowledge before embarking on a grueling battle against Kazeros in the new endgame.

And for the new Aegir Raid, reaching Item Level 1660 is paramount, and getting into an Ignite Server is an easy way to level up. This is because all the items and materials you require to reach the new endgame will be available in the Ignite Server through events.

This is also a great starting point for new players, as the Ignite Server also serves as an area to teach you about the basics of the game, how to build your character, how to tackle challenges like Solo Raids, and how to coordinate for more intricate group raids.

The Ignite Server also features a more robust UI system and has multiple special missions to facilitate the process. Not to mention the treasure trove of Daily & Weekly activities to give you consistent boosts throughout.

If you’re planning on taking Lost Ark seriously with the new update or are preparing to taking on the Aegir raid, it’s a good idea to hone your skills in Ignite Servers.
