Guide to Making Money with McKenzie Field Hangar in GTA 5

The newest DLC for Grand Theft Auto Online has added many new features and missions for the McKenzie Field Hangar. It is a hangar at the McKenzie Field Airstrip located in Grapeseed, Blaine County, San Andreas. The McKenzie Field Hangar has a dirt runway and a small hangar that can fit a small aircraft easily. The method used to purchase this hangar will vary depending on whether you are playing in story mode or online mode.

Along with the method of purchasing, the missions and incomes vary as well. However, the jobs you need to complete for that can be somewhat complicated and difficult to understand. This guide will talk about the hangar, the various missions it offers, income opportunities, and how to earn efficiently to make your GTA account more valuable and rich.

In the Story Mode

In GTA V Story Mode, the McKenzie Field Hangar is one of the many purchasable properties. It is mainly a smuggling export/import facility, and can be bought only as Trevor. It is available after you complete the mission “Nervous Ron”, and you can buy it for just $150,000. Once you buy it, the game will always spawn a Cuban 800 aircraft in the hangar and a Dune Buggy on the east side of the hangar. You can use these two vehicles to carry out ground and air smuggling missions.

Income

In story mode, the only way to earn from this hangar is by completing Arms Trafficking missions. There are ground and air missions, and each has five different types of missions. But the payout for all ground missions is the same, and so is the case for all air missions. After each mission, you will be paid $7000 for air deliveries and $5000 for ground deliveries.

Additionally, quick deliveries, accurate drops, and flying below radar detection level, each gives you a $125 bonus. If you do the maths, you will have to complete 22 air missions or 30 ground missions to redeem your investment and break even. You can also complete a combination of both types of missions based on your liking. If you ever feel that you are short of resources, do not worry. You can always opt for shortcuts like GTA Boosting, that will help you replenish your resources without having to scrub through countless missions.

Now, unlike other properties which have varied incomes, this hangar has a fixed income and only two ways of earning as mentioned above. However, once you own this and start making money, you will never have to worry about dealing with things, and you can focus on other important things in the game and come back during your leisure time.

In the Online Mode

The Mckenzie Field Hangar has just been added to the game on 4th March 2025 as a part of the 1.70 Agents of Sabotage update. You can purchase it from the Maze Bank Foreclosures at a price of $1,475,000. The McKenzie Field Hangar doesn’t provide you with any storage or customization. However, purchasing it does add up 15 aircraft slots in your personal hangar. It also comes with an office space and personal quarters.

Income

The main source of income here is to complete the missions given by Oscar in the contract “Oscar Guzman Flies Again”. You can access this contract from your office in the hangar. There are a total of six missions like this that you need to go through to maximize your rewards.

UP and Running

This is the initial setup mission of the contract. After completing this, you can complete the other missions in any order you like.

Setup

Mogul: Travel to Banham Canyon and steal at least one Mogul plane. Dodge and avoid the reciprocated attacks and return the Mogul to the hangar, and then send a text to Oscar.

Intel: Fly drones into the Drone Center and gather information about your locals and do nothing. Then dive underwater, collect the cargo from the shipwreck, and bring it back.

Iron Mule: After travelling to the Weapon Testing Site, use jammers to hack into four DH-7 Iron Mule helicopters, and fly them back to the McKenzie Field Hangar. You will need heavy weapons to help yourself in this mission, as you will be ambushed by Eberhard forces who will be trying to destroy the jammers you set. You can buy GTA 5 Money from online marketplaces to make the process of acquiring these weapons a bit easier.

Ammunition: This is a fairly easy mission. You just have to secure some Titan 250 D Ammunition from a marked cargo ship, deliver them to a drop-off point and then confirm the delivery to Oscar via a text. The weapons and ammo you secure in this mission will be used in the next and final. So make sure to grab some Heavy Armor and Mogul Upgrades cargo crates as well.

The Titan Job: This is the final mission of the contract. All you have to do is fend off all the Eberhard enemies and use the Titan 250 D to destroy their assets.

After completing all these missions, you get paid $500,000 in Normal Mode, and a $250,000 bonus for completing the contract for the first time. If you are playing in Hard Mode, you can repeat these missions and earn $750,000 each time you complete them.

Conclusion

The McKenzie Field Hangar is a valuable property in GTA 5, offering multiple income streams through arms trafficking missions and the Oscar Guzman Flies Again contract. With strategic planning and mission completion, you can maximize your profits and enjoy an engaging gameplay experience. Whether in story mode or online, this investment proves highly rewarding.
