Growing crops and raising animals isn’t what makes you Hay Day money. You will need to sell it to the Hay Day townsfolk. Different visitors can come to visit your farm to ask for certain products for a price. Some of the Hay Day products they ask for you may not have yet, which is where leveling up comes into play.
The leveling system on Hay Day is how you unlock new crops, animals, buildings, etc. Each new crop or animal you unlock and place onto your Hay Day farm gives you something new to potentially sell from them. To increase your experience points to level up, the best way to do this is by completing townsfolk requests and collecting products from your Hay Day crops or animals. Almost everything can give you points!
When it comes to planting your Hay Day crops, you will notice your silo is where you will be storing them. Always make sure that this silo is stocked up with some seeds to plant. While you may get quests asking for some seeds, the crops that they grow will always be needed more often, so keep that in mind before you sell your seeds away.
Seeds can also be mighty expensive if not too careful. Most seeds will end up costing you Hay Day gems to get a lot more from the store. Hay Day Gems can cost real-life money and are otherwise hard to get unless you level up well enough. Even then, you don’t want to have to rely on Hay Day gems for your seeds.
As mentioned before, visitors will come to your farm to ask for Hay Day goods. This is great to make some extra money at the very beginning of the game, but soon you will be able to unlock the order board. Not only will you receive orders for your products at higher prices, but you will also receive multiple of them at once.
With that being said, don’t worry so much about completing every single visitor’s request after unlocking the order board. The order board should become your main priority as not only will your products sell for higher prices, but the visitors will always buy for cheaper. You can sometimes complete their requests if they’re simple enough for extra cash but don’t focus on them too hard.
Once you get later into the game and start to have more products made at once, you will start to notice how long some orders take to complete over others. As you get used to the mechanics of Hay Day, there is going to be a lot more to keep up with. Don’t sweat it though as you can always discard orders that you can’t complete or take a long time. This is actually recommended as it will clear the board for easier and faster orders to build up Hay Day profits quicker.
