Summoners War Tier List: Best Monsters Ranked

summoners war tier list

If you buy Summoners War starter account, you need to know that the account is loaded with the best monsters. It’ll make your game experience a lot more fun, and you’ll progress through everything a lot quicker. This Summoners War tier list will ensure that you get the right characters for your account.

Because of the number of Summoners War characters, we can’t cover absolutely every single one. However, we want to give you an idea of the various monsters in each tier, just to show you where everybody lies.

S Tier

This is where you’ll find the best monsters in Summoners War, and thus the best 5 star monsters Summoners War.

S-Tier characters include:

  • Lushen
  • Lyn
  • Loren
  • Lapis
  • Galleon
  • Colleen
  • Chasun
  • Bernard
  • Belladon
  • Baretta
  • Megan
  • Mav
  • Sigmarus
  • Skogul
  • Teshar
  • Theomars
  • Verdehile
  • Verad
  • Zaiross
  • Fran
  • Isis
  • Talia
  • Sabrina
  • Herteit
  • Camilla

So, we’ve got a lot of characters in the S tier. You probably wouldn’t find any other games with this number of characters in the S tier, which goes to show just how well-balanced Summoners War: Sky Arena is for their characters.

If you’re experienced with the game, then you will very quickly notice that many of these monsters are some of the most powerful on the damage front. Not necessarily fast, nor high on defense, but can pump out a whole load of power.

Light Amazon, for instance, may only be a 3-star monster, but she’s already one of the most powerful in the game, and being double-teamed by Lushen probably wouldn’t go down too well if you’re left on defense.

Zaiross is a 5-star monster that will quickly become a staple of any quality team in the game. He is especially useful if you are looking to put together a farming build, but he would also be just at home if you’re looking to grind some PvP. He is pretty tricky to get hold of in the game, since he is one of the rarer characters, but once you have him – you’ll want to use him as much as you possibly can.

So, that is the S tier of the game. You can probably put together a good team from a selection of these monsters, and many of the end-game PvP teams will include only S-tier characters. However, don’t fret if you don’t currently have all these monsters in your summoner’s arsenal. Even having just a couple of the three or four-star monsters will stand you in good stead. Round them out with some A or B-tier monsters, and you’ll do some good business.

That leads us neatly to the next section.

A Tier

These Summoners War characters are good, just not quite as good as the S-Tier Summoners War best monsters.

  • Veromos
  • Kro
  • Hwa
  • Charlotte
  • Delphoi
  • Akhamamir
  • Alicia
  • Tesarion
  • Anavel
  • Xiao Linn
  • Woosa
  • Wind
  • Water
  • Taor
  • Shannon
  • Rica
  • Pungbaek
  • Perna
  • Mellia
  • Velajuel
  • Maruna
  • Lydia
  • Jeanne
  • Halphas
  • Gemini
  • Mikene
  • Sylvia
  • Eladriel
  • Dark
  • Cadiz
  • Brandia
  • Martina
  • Frigate
  • Ariana
  • Izaria

Phew! That’s a long list of Summoners War monsters in the A tier. So, why have we decided to include them here? Well, because they have a decent amount of attack, although not quite the same amount of attack that the S-tier monsters have.

If you have a team filled with A-tier monsters and you’re pretty good at the game, you could potentially give an S-tier team a run for their money. You may be lacking a bit on defense and speed, but it shouldn’t be too bad.

Ariana, for instance, is a great team player. She won’t do well on her own, but her healing abilities will ensure that your team can get through the most difficult content in the game without a huge amount of difficulty. In fact, she can be found playing at pretty much every aspect of the game thanks to her runes and skills.

Eladrial is an example of a character who is good, just not quite as good as an S-tier character. This is because all the skills he boasts are powerful, but can only really be used in one aspect of the game – PvP. So, he is a monster you’ll eventually want as a summon, but will not necessarily be your prime focus.

B Tier

So, these are the characters you might want to add to your team in a pinch, but they probably won’t be the best choice unless you can slide an S or A-tier monster in there:

  • Ariel
  • Xiana
  • Yen
  • Yeonhong
  • Zibrolta
  • Zinc
  • Zeratu
  • Zerath
  • Xing Zhe
  • Elsharion
  • Xiong Fel
  • Zenobia
  • Woonsa
  • Ragdoll
  • Prha
  • Quebehsenuef
  • Qitian Dasheng
  • Raki
  • Rakan
  • Ran
  • Rahul
  • Pungbaek
  • Poseidon
  • Pontos
  • Pang
  • Olivia
  • Onyx
  • Ophilia
  • Orion
  • Orochi
  • Fermion
  • Artamiel
  • Platy
  • Phenaka
  • Xio Ling
  • Deva
  • Shaina
  • Selena

The reason why these Summoners War characters appear here is because many of them are quite situational. Take Orion, for instance. He is a perfectly adequate support character, but you’ll only ever use him in PvP and, honestly, there are better supports for PvP than him. You’d only need to use Orion if you don’t have access to something like Ariana.

C Tier

These characters are ok but if you want to make serious progress in the game, or even stand a small chance of winning in PvP, they’re all best avoided:

  • Lisa
  • Liu Mei
  • Soha
  • Spectra
  • Susano
  • Mephisto
  • Michelle
  • Lora
  • Isael
  • Louis
  • Lucifer
  • Lucas
  • Logan
  • Light
  • Lumiercia
  • Luna
  • Icares
  • Hyanes
  • Illianna
  • Hwahee
  • Hrungnir
  • Hathor
  • Herne
  • Han
  • Guilluame
  • Grogen
  • Grego
  • Melissa
  • Belita
  • Bailey
  • Fire
  • Katarina

The problem with these characters is that they’re rarely going to be the best for any role, or even the second best. Many of them are 3rd/4th best. Even if you have some of these characters in your game, you’ll replace them very quickly. Use C-tier characters to fill slots until you find something better. Never focus on upgrading any of these.

D Tier

These are the characters you never want to touch. They’re weak in all aspects of the game, and many of their abilities are so situational you’d never use them, or know how to use them. If you have a D tier in your monster list, throw them out:

  • Sophia
  • Son Zhang Lao
  • Tarq
  • Tanzaite
  • Tanya
  • Tablo
  • Sonnet
  • Sige
  • Shihwa
  • Shimitae
  • Shan
  • Savannah
  • Scarlett
  • Nisha
  • Seara
  • Sekhmet
  • Randy
  • Odin
  • Natalie
  • Miasty
  • Mi Ying
  • Mo Long
  • Daian
  • Bolverk
  • Bael
  • Barque
  • Baleygr
  • Acasis
  • Akia
  • Ahman
  • Aegir
