Let us start off the list with Lil Helper Penny. You can see Penny wearing the classic elf costume, but is she here to help Santa with Christmas or does she have any plans to spoil our holidays? That smile on her face is definitely suspicious!
This skin includes a custom brawler model, a custom turret model, and a custom effect. Her backpack is now a gift box and her turret is gift-wrapped. Lil Helper Penny was first seen in the shop during the “Brawlidays” event back in 2018. She once again returned to the shop in 2020 with a “last chance” tag, meaning that she would never return to the shop again.
And that is it! This skin was never to be seen in the shop from that day on, making it a rare Penny skin. This skin has also received a remodel. There are mixed opinions about the remodel but there is one thing that a lot of players agree upon: the stereotype about Lil Helper Penny players having a really good aim, so you better watch out when playing against one!
SALOON 8-BIT
Saloon 8-Bit is the Western version of 8-Bit and he is a cowboy! With a revolver in his hand, a cowboy hat, and a bottle on his head, this outfit makes him really cool. He does give Clint Eastwood a run for his money when it comes to looking like the coolest cowboy!
This star skin comes with a custom brawler model, custom effects, custom animations, custom sounds, and a custom texture. This was an exclusive Power League skin that came before season 11, so it is highly unlikely that it will ever return.
What makes it even more rare is that you had to play 100 matches during that season just to be able to purchase this skin! People say it took them a 15-hour grind to be able to get this skin. Now you know how hard it was to get Saloon 8-bit; this is what makes it a rare skin. If you really like this model for 8-Bit, you can get the re-colored version called the “Piano 8-Bit.”
LION DANCE BROCK
Lion Dance Brock was a part of the Lunar New Year skins from 2019. It’s been almost 5 years! This skin gives Brock really cool Chinese festival-themed clothes and he looks awesome.
The coolest thing about this skin is his dance and also his rocket launcher, which looks like the lion from the traditional Chinese Lion Dance. This skin was once again seen in the item shop for 79 gems and unfortunately, with the “last chance” tag, it will never return again!
Lion Dance Brock is one of the most sought-after rarest Brawl Stars skins by Brock players. You can see tons of Reddit posts asking if he will ever return, but sadly, it is highly unlikely that he will ever return. But it is definitely possible that he might get a re-colored version, and I’m sure it won’t look as cool as the original colors.
RICOCHET
Ricochet is a super rare skin for Brawl Stars Rico. Not to be confused with Rico’s former name. How many of you guys know that Rico was once called Ricochet in this game? This name change happened somewhere back in 2019.
Speaking of this skin, we have another cowboy skin on our list. Ricochet was a free skin available for a limited time as a part of the Brawlidays gift. This skin gives Rico a cool-looking hat, a bandana around his neck, and a cartridge belt, giving him a complete cowboy look. Any player who didn’t manage to claim it or anyone who started playing Brawl Stars after 2019 will not have this skin.
Players with this rare Brawl Stars skin have achieved the OG status and are not to be messed with.
MERCHANT GALE
Merchant Gale is one of the most sought-after Brawl Stars skins overall. Tons of players regret not getting this skin or failing to unlock it; this skin is that cool! Having Merchant Gale on your account is considered to be one of the biggest flexes in the Brawl Stars community.
Do you also wonder what this merchant is selling? You won’t once you see how he replaced his snowgun, which shoots snowballs, with a snake in a basket. Do we really want to know what else he got on him? This skin has one of the coolest animations between Gale and his pet snake. This skin also has custom animations and a special pin set.
Merchant Gale was a part of the original season’s Brawl Pass and you had to get to the end of the pass to claim him. Not only was he a part of the OG Brawl Stars era but you also had to grind quite a bit to unlock him, making this a rare Gale skin.
RED DRAGON JESSIE
This beautiful-looking skin is a limited-time skin available to claim in June 2020. This skin was released to celebrate the launch of Brawl Stars in China.
This is a Chinese-themed skin. You can see Jessie with classic red and yellow clothing, the same colors that you would normally see during Chinese festivals. It is very pleasing to the eye.
The skin doesn’t have any custom animations, but it is one of the best-looking skins in Brawl Stars.
Though it is a free Brawl Stars skin, it was only available for a limited time, and it most likely will never return, making it a rare Jessie skin.
MECHA CROW
I feel like this is one of the best Brawl Stars skins in the entire game. This skin comes with a custom model, custom effects, custom animations, custom sounds, and a custom voice.
That is not all; this amazing skin has two more variants, called the Gold Mecha Crow and the Night Mecha Crow. All three variants look great on Crow; I think the Night Mecha Crow is the coolest.
This skin gives a futuristic robot look to Crow, and the custom sounds and voices also sound like a robot.
This skin does show up in the shop from time to time, but what makes this Brawl Stars skin so rare is its cost. It costs a whopping 299 gems, and it is a no-brainer that not many people can spend that much on skin, making this a rare crow skin.

If you’re an OG player of Brawl Stars, I hope you’ve managed to claim your Star Shelly skin!
This skin was released in 2018 and was given for free; it’s been almost 6 years since the day of its release.
I mean, looks-wise, with a backward ball cap, a headset, and a futuristic blaster-like gun, she really does look like a star! Shelly Brawl Stars gets more of an arcade-style appearance with this skin. This is a great appearance change compared to how boring her base model looks.
How can a free skin come under rare skins? Well, only the OG players of Brawl Stars have this skin, giving it a rare status. In a way, if you see a player wearing this skin, you know he is a very experienced Brawl Stars player and not to be messed with.
The fact that you could only claim this skin back in 2018 and that was the time when Brawl Stars wasn’t as popular as today, makes Star Shelly an OG rare skin.
VIRUS 8-BIT
Virus 8-bit is a limited edition Brawl Stars skin that was only available for 12 days during the 2020 lunar year.
As a part of the lunar sale, this skin was first released in Brawl Stars for 300 gems.
What happens if our beloved 8-bit gets infected with a virus? That is what this skin is about. It gives a really interesting look to 8-bit, with neon green as the primary color. 8-bit has claw-like legs and an evil look on the face.
The best part is the voice lines. Firstly, it is a little bit toxic and secondly, it sounds exactly how you expect an infected 8-bit to sound!
This skin was released three times from the day of its release, and the final release came with a “last chance” title. Meaning it might never come into the shop again. Only a few players have managed to purchase this rare skin.
But if you really like the looks of this skin, you can get a re-colored version of it called the Anti-Virus 8-bit, which looks the same, but again, you will not have the rare skin status.
CHALLENGER COLT
This is one of the best Colt skins ever in Brawl Stars. The skin includes a custom model, custom effects, custom animations, and custom textures.
I mean, look at his attire and the color combination; that variation of red and blue goes well with each other. He gives off the vibe of a cool gamer with those headphones and gaming devices in both of his hands.
Challenger Colt was released as a part of the 2020 World Finals! You could only get this skin during the 2020 Brawl Stars World Championship, and even though it was available for everyone back then, only a few players have purchased it.
This is because the skin cost real money, around $5, and was not available to purchase with gems, making it one of the best-looking and rarest skins in Brawl Stars.
